We officially wrapped up our Writer's Month and Taylor PTA's Short Story Contest. Thank you to all the students who submitted a short story. We are so proud of them! Winners will be announced in a few weeks via KTLR and the PTA Newsletter.

Upcoming PTA Events

Taylor Math and Problem-solving Club

The club meets Thursdays at noon in the Taylor Library.

Last week (2/27), the students played a card game where they were given 13 cards, which were shuffled and kept covered. One-by-one, the cards were flipped over. The students guessed whether the next card would be bigger or smaller based on all the cards that had already been flipped open. The team that had the most correct guesses won the game.

This week, Mr. Eller will discuss the mathematical principle behind the game.

Taylor STEAM Club

The PTA would like to start an afternoon STEAM Club on Friday afternoons. We are seeking parent volunteers to help spearhead this effort. If you are interested, please contact Louise Lien ([email protected]).

Mills High School Incoming 9th Grade Orientation

Mills High School warmly welcomes all Taylor Middle School 8th graders and their parents to attend the Incoming 9th Grade Orientation on Thursday, March 9 in the Mills Auditorium from 5:30-6:30 p.m. During this orientation, you will meet MHS administration and learn all about Mills academics, athletics, extracurricular activities and other programs.

Join Mills for Open House immediately afterwards from 6:30-8:00 p.m. where you can visit classrooms, talk to teachers and see displayed work products and projects from current students.

Mills looks forward to welcoming the Class of 2027!
