The Outliers are a metal band based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Beginning in 2015, The Outliers consists of 5 members: Brad Hayes (Vox), Eric Wondergem (Guitar/Vox), Zach Deabay (Guitar), Jerad Walters (Bass) and Brandon Wondergem (Drums). The band is inspired by a wide range of professional talent such as As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, Chelsea Grin, Emmure, Lamb Of God, Thy Art Is Murder, A Day To Remember…just to name a few. With such a wide span of inspiration, it is hard to pinpoint which sub-genre or style to place The Outliers into. However, with gut wrenching vocals assisted by heavy hitting breakdowns, melodic verses with an occasional sprinkle of a pop punk fed choruses, The Outliers bring you their version of a modern day metalcore sound.
The band is well known for its professionalism in every aspect of the industry whether it be social media pages, the never ending love of meeting and getting to know fans, building relationships and supporting other musicians or the intense energy and vibe The Outliers bring to the stage. They are growing immensely and there are no current signs of them slowing down.
The Outliers have been on 3 regional tours across the United States hitting the Midwest in 2017, a west coast to east tour in 2018 along with headling an Eastern U.S. based tour in 2019. They have a natural love for the road. They have had the pleasure to open for a handful of international acts such as Trivium, Chelsea Grin, Whitechapel, HATEBREED, Devildriver, Miss May I, We Came As Romans and Phinehas. With every opportunity, a lesson has been learned in helping them advance in their music careers.
The Outliers have 3 studio albums available along with their 4th set to release on July 10th, 2020 titled “Dissipating Eternity”, which is a 9 track album available on virtually every musical platform there is to offer and 7 music videos available on their youtube channel. With such a hard-driven demand of success, they are always ahead in the writing and demoing aspects of the musical game.
All in all, The Outliers are a rapidly growing band that no one should sleep on. You can hear the progression of each member in the band every time a new song or album drops and everything about what they are doing just becomes better and more enjoyable to listen to than the last.
