We are glad to announce that The Blossom and the Fruit, volume III & The Talking Image of Urur, volume IV of The Lucifer Collection have been released.
The Talking Image of Urur
The Talking Image of Urur written by Franz Hartmann is a Theosophical satire, published seriatim, in fifteen instalments, in Lucifer magazine. The satire depicts a Theosophical Don Quixote seeking wisdom everywhere except in the right place. He became a member of the "Society for Distribution of Wisdom" but found only foolishness. Finally, in the last chapter, he discovered that true wisdom cannot be found anywhere except by the attainment of the knowledge of self.
The Blossom and the Fruit is an occult novel, written by Mabel Collins, first published in Lucifer Magazine, in twelve instalments. The book appeared in the first issue of Lucifer, September 1887 and ended in August of 1888. The author was Mabel Collins (1851–1927). However, it seems that Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831-1891) may have influenced the last seven chapters of the book.
The second volume of “The Lucifer Collection,” entitled The Last Song of the Swan, presents all editorials published in Lucifer magazine while Helena Petrovna Blavatsky was the editor. The title given to the present volume is the same as H.P.B’s editorial for February 1890. The editors chose it specifically because Lucifer was indeed one of her last "songs" before dying.
The first volume of The Lucifer Collection, "Poetry, Aphorisms & Proverbs," presents all poetry, aphorisms, axioms, thoughts and proverbs published in the Lucifer magazine, while Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831–1891) was the editor.
